About Azura Indonesia

We reinvent the way to save our ocean by making green technology accessible to everyone.
The idea for Azura Indonesia began with a personal moment that changed everything. While diving in Bali, our founder came face to face with a giant manta ray gliding gracefully above her head. That breathtaking encounter deepened her love for the ocean and, combined with witnessing a shoreline filled with garbage in 2017, inspired her to take action. Determined to make a meaningful contribution, she and her team set out to create solutions that protect the ocean while improving the lives of those who depend on it.
Across Indonesia, two million small-scale fishers collectively produce over eight million tons of carbon dioxide each year, much of it from fuel and conventional engines. MantaOne, our electric engine for long-tail boats, helps reduce emissions by 78 percent and improves cost efficiency by 70 percent per trip. Cleaner, quieter, and designed to be reliable and affordable, it helps fishers cut operating costs while lowering their carbon footprint by up to 345 kilograms per month.
For communities that depend on the ocean, MantaOne is more than technology; it brings freedom, pride, and hope for a better future. At Azura Indonesia, we are proud to bring innovation directly to those who need it most. Our mission is simple: empower coastal communities, protect the ocean, and show that clean technology is not just for the privileged, but for everyone.

Our Milestones
Azura Indonesia’s journey to preserve the ocean, one engine at a time, has been marked by incredible milestones and notable achievements, demonstrating our commitment to excellence and continuous growth. Here is a timeline to showcase some of our significant milestones, progress, and valuable experiences that have shaped our continued success:
2018

Prototyping
Began prototyping with a 15hp outboard engine and continued with a 5hp long-shaft machine.
2019

User testing
Establish a partnership with the first fishermen to use MantaOne for one year. Utilizing users’ feedback to improve the MantaOne electrical engine.
2020

Commercialize
Sold the first two units to B2B and continued to sell another 10 units
2021

Community Approach
Approach neighboring communities of fishermen with a focus on eco-tourism in Bali Set a goal to put 10,000 units in use across Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Lowering out carbon output and empowering small-scale fisheries to increase their income

Meet the Founder

Nadea has always been drawn to the ocean. With a master’s degree in electronic engineering, she combines her love for technology with a deep commitment to protecting the environment. From her studies at Kumoh National Institute in South Korea and Institut Teknologi Bandung in Indonesia to her research on advanced technology, Nadea has consistently sought ways to use her skills for meaningful impact.
Her career journey spans multiple industries, starting with technology research in South Korea, then continuing as a project manager at a foreign bank, and later as a recruitment consultant. Her platform grew even further when she became the runner-up for Miss Scuba Indonesia 2017, which helped amplify her advocacy for ocean conservation.
Today, as the founder of Azura Indonesia, Nadea channels her energy into creating solutions that uplift coastal communities and protect the waters they depend on.
A Message from Nadea
Lowering our carbon output by that much means a healthier ocean, and in turn, better coastal marine ecosystems: more fish to catch in an environmentally friendly way, and fishermen able to provide better for their families. We’ll keep going for as long as it takes, reinventing the way we save the ocean, one engine at a time.

Our Team
Meet the people behind Azura Indonesia, a small team with a big heart. We are engineers, dreamers, and ocean lovers who believe that practical solutions can change lives. Every engine we build is created with one hope in mind: to make daily fishing easier, support coastal families, and give our ocean a chance to heal.
